Three forces are conspiring to defeat the church.  One force is behind them all! 1. COVID19   Brought to America from Communist China the virus has touched both great and small.  Millions have been infected (millions more have yet to be), and thousands have died.  What's worse, the fear of the virus is greater than the actual virus.   Fear has kept millions from the Houses of Worship--some have been ordered to stay away by governments, others have been ordered to stay away by concerned family and friends, and then there are those who have calculated that church is not actually essential so it's not worth the risk attending. 2. SECULARISM  An increasing number of Americans identify as "NONES" when it comes to religious conviction or preference.  Militant atheists have aggressively pursued every Christian symbol or expression of faith in the public square.  Before the virus hit weekly church attendance had fallen from 40% of Americans to barely 18%.  Weekly is now weakl

The King did not know she was a Jew.   Haman did not know she was a Jew.   But God orchestrated her ascendency to the throne at just the right moment. Mordecai’s plea to Queen Esther rings through the ages, “ Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king's house, more than all the Jews.   LET'S ROLL! On this 19th anniversary of 9-11 our hearts are full as we reflect on that historic day. Indeed we will never be the same.  No doubt you remember where you were when you first heard the news. While many today dishonor and disrespect these United States of America, count us among the grateful and admiring citizens of the greatest nation in the world. Americans are not of one religion, race, or ethnicity.  We have different experiences, different educations, and different economic circumstances. What unites us is our common commitment be "one nation, under God, indivisible, with life and liberty for all."   (The Pledge to the Flag). Being American is a matter of spirit.  We are God fearing.  We are family oriented.  We are truth seeking.  We are compassionate and caring.  And we are determined to protect and to defend the nation we love. There are some who suggest that when things aren't going right--go left.  I can't suggest that. But I can make the following suggestions that may help. 1.   TELL THE LORD WHAT'S HAPPENING You say, "He already knows."  And yes, He does know.  But He is the one that invited us to come to Him when we are stressed and burdened! " Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls."  Matthew 11:28,29. We sing  "I must tell Jesus all of my troubles...   Jesus can help me, Jesus alone!"   And He can! We remember our Lord's promise, "Your Heavenly Father knows you have need." (Matthew 6:32)...and "   Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you!"   (Matthew 7:7)  You know reading through the Sermon on the Mount would be a great idea! 2
