  September 2020 n 24 th ANNIVERSARY REVIVAL n 24 th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION SUNDAY n PRAYER & PRAISE Greetings Friends of Faith, The Jews were facing genocide at the hand of Haman the hateful Persian.   Mordecai, an officer in the King’s court who won favor with King Xerxes (also known as Ahasuerus) discovered Haman’s plot and urged his cousin, Queen Esther to speak up for her nation. The King did not know she was a Jew.   Haman did not know she was a Jew.   But God orchestrated her ascendency to the throne at just the right moment. Mordecai’s plea to Queen Esther rings through the ages, “ Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king's house, more than all the Jews. For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this? ” ...

  LET'S ROLL! On this 19th anniversary of 9-11 our hearts are full as we reflect on that historic day. Indeed we will never be the same.  No doubt you remember where you were when you first heard the news. While many today dishonor and disrespect these United States of America, count us among the grateful and admiring citizens of the greatest nation in the world. Americans are not of one religion, race, or ethnicity.  We have different experiences, different educations, and different economic circumstances. What unites us is our common commitment be "one nation, under God, indivisible, with life and liberty for all."   (The Pledge to the Flag). Being American is a matter of spirit.  We are God fearing.  We are family oriented.  We are truth seeking.  We are compassionate and caring.  And we are determined to protect and to defend the nation we love.
